Hey, guys! MBS dropped a trailer on us and announced that in April 2025, during the Spring season, the anime Witch Watch will debut! This beauty is based on the manga by Kenta Shinohara, known for Sket Dance and Astra Lost in Space. We had already teased this anime back in June, but now we have a brand new promotional art to show!
Who is Behind the Animation?
The animation is being done by Bibury Animation Studio, with direction by Hiroshi Ikehata, known for TONIKAWA: Over the Moon For You. The script is by Deko Akao, known for The Case Study of Vanitas, and character design is by Haruko Iizuka, from Horimiya. To complete the team, the music is by Yukari Hashimoto (who did a great job in A Sign of Affection).

About the Manga
Witch Watch began its journey in February 2021 and the 16th volume was released on April 4, 2024. If you haven’t read it yet, now is the time to catch up!
Synopsis
The story follows Nico Wakatsuki, a teenage witch who, after completing her magical training, moves in with her childhood friend Morihito Otogi, who is an ogre with a human face. Things get interesting because, due to their families’ ancient history, Morihito has to protect Nico. And Nico hopes this will help them become a couple, as he has been her crush for a long time! In the midst of it all, they have to face various supernatural creatures and the chaos that Nico’s magic brings to their routine.
