The Buzz Around the First Wipe Event

The first pre-wipe event of Escape from Tarkov has arrived and it’s causing a stir worldwide. Players have been anticipating this and it’s just the beginning, as more traditional pre-wipe events are sure to follow soon. It all started when the folks at Battlestate games posted an image on social media showing game characters carrying concrete bags, making it obvious that something big was about to happen.

What to Expect in the Event

In this first event, players will be able to upgrade their Hideout by exchanging only Pevko beer bottles. Additionally, skill levels will increase faster than usual, meaning players can reach the maximum level in a much shorter time, with the wipe approaching.

The Long Wait for the Wipe

Talking about the wipe, the next one in Escape from Tarkov is already on the horizon and players can’t wait anymore. It’s officially the longest wait between wipes, with over 225 days since the last one. It has been a tumultuous period for the Tarkov universe, with drama surrounding the release of Tarkov Arena and the unveiling of The Unheard Edition that shook things up. Cheaters, bugs, instability… it’s been tough being a Tarkov fan lately.

The Hype Surrounding the Wipe

But now that the first pre-wipe event has started, all of that will be forgotten. Players may be just a few days away from the highly anticipated wipe that will reset accounts and bring hundreds of thousands of players back. And along with the wipe comes update 0.15, which will bring many changes and additions to the game.

How to Participate in the Event

For now, players can participate in this basic event. To upgrade your Hideout as quickly as possible, just collect the Pevko beers. Fortunately, any enemy designated as a ‘Boss’ will now guarantee you a bottle, so you can farm them easily. And as you face these tougher characters, you’ll notice your skills skyrocketing at an incredible speed, turning you into a super soldier in no time.
