Cinecolor announces release of “Look Back” in Brazil
Exciting News about the Look Back Movie in Brazil
The distributor Cinecolor Films has just announced a great news: the movie based on the manga Look Back, by the famous author Tatsuki Fujimoto (yes, the same as Chainsaw Man!), will premiere in Brazilian theaters on September 26th. If you’re a fan of the manga, get your popcorn ready!
Animation Details
“Look Back” was released in Japanese theaters on June 28, 2024, and the animation is done by Studio Durian, directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who has previously worked on projects like Space Dandy and Flip Flappers. Check out the team behind the production:

The Story Behind “Look Back”
This one-shot was first published in July 2021 in Shonen Jump Plus, and had a controversial response that led the author to revise the work, due to some criticisms that related the story to the tragic fire at Kyoto Animation studios in 2019. But let’s get to the plot!
Look Back follows Ayumu Fujino, a student who loves drawing four-panel mangas for the school newspaper. She is super talented and everyone praises her creations! Until one day, the teacher asks her to give up her space for an absent student named Kyomoto. When his work appears next to hers, everyone is impressed with his art, leaving Fujino extremely irritated. Determined not to be overshadowed by a classmate who rarely shows up, she decides to dedicate even more to her manga. However, over time, this rivalry seems increasingly distant and she ends up giving up. In the end, on graduation day, she and Kyomoto meet in an unexpected way, and this interaction will bring changes they never imagined.
