Blue Lock Season 2: What’s New?
Hey guys! The official website of the anime adaptation Blue Lock has just released a new visual that is causing a buzz for the 2nd season!
In this new image, the main characters are all highlighted, and the title and theme of the season have already been revealed: BLUE LOCK vs. U-20 JAPAN. Isn’t that exciting?
The premiere is scheduled for October 5th. So, mark your calendars!
Who’s Behind the Production?
Let’s meet the team behind this new season:
- Director: Tetsuaki Watanabe (previously worked on Powerful Pro Yakyū Powerful Koukou-hen)
- Assistant Director: Shunsuke Ishikawa (episode director in Monogatari 2nd season and Nisemonogatari)
- Script and Supervision: Taku Kishimoto (responsible for Haikyu!!, Silver Spoon, and Fruits Basket 2019)
- Design: Masaru Shindou (Part of Fruits Basket, Macross Delta, and Oregairu SNAFU)
- Studio: 8-Bit (known for Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken and Grisaia no Kajitsu)
What Has Happened So Far?
After a tough defeat in the 2018 World Cup, the Japanese national football team decided to change the game. They wanted to find a goal scorer with a thirst for victory who could turn matches in Japan’s favor.
For this, they created a super ambitious program: recruit 300 promising young players for intensive training, competing against each other to see who will be the next captain and striker for the national team. So, will the pressure yield good results?
